The Columbus Police Department SWAT Team arrested a sixth person to be charged with murder for the shooting death of Labronze Moore on November 22, 2023.
According to Columbus Police Chief Joseph Daughtry, 17-year-old Enry Meadows of Clover Street in Columbus was arrested by the SWAT Team at his home. He is being charged with murder for the death of another 17-year-old, Labronze Moore, also of Columbus. The incident occurred in the 200 block of North McCrary Road just before 5 p.m. the evening before Thanksgiving.
“This is the sixth person charged with murder in the case,” Chief Daughtry said late Wednesday. “Our investigators and SWAT Team have worked on this case without ceasing, and six males are in custody at this time, all charged with murder.”
“Five of those charged are still teenagers, but they are being tried as adults,” Chief Daughtry added. “They committed a capital offense and are booked and held as adults. Bond has been denied already on the previous five persons arrested in the case.”
When asked if the suspect provided any resistance, Chief Daughtry said no, but the arrest scene was sad for family members. “The family was upset, but our investigators have diligently followed every lead and built the case. The shooting is still under investigation,” the Chief added.
